Can't attract a boss striker here on a perm so we're hoping to loan a want-away striker from Chelsea to patch over the gaping hole in our squad...

While I do feel things have improved ...this transfer window deadline feels like a lot of previous years ..... anxious refreshing to be followed by disappointment.

We needed a top keeper
We needed at least one top center back
We needed more creativity
We didn't think we needed Rooney exactly but he's been our talisman so far this season
We needed to clear out some more dead wood
We needed to get a big fee and get Lukaku out early

Still remaining
A replacement for Rom
Another center back (left footed)
Sort out Barkley situation

Given how much business gets done right at the very end of every window I'd say we're ahead of the curve right now

Buying a CF was the most important thing we needed to do. It should have been sorted from last Christmas when we knew Lukaku was gone.
While we have improved other positions, they weren't as important imo.

Can't argue with the players we've bought in, but we've overlooked the most important signing and will now get held to ransom by any selling club because we stink of desperation.
