Well they had enough time to identify and sign a replacement for Lukaku. The failure to do so means that questions have to be asked. It was an encouraging start to the summer with those signings we made. But yet another August deadline day fiasco has confirmed that the old way of doing things incompetently and on the cheap at Everton has not gone away.
Who is this 25+ Premier League goalscorer of whom you speak? Perhaps your thinking of Sanchez or Aguero.

Don't know what to think about anything at the moment. Transfer window was decent enough but didn't get what we actually needed. We spent lots of money but also recouped lots of money. Is that the Chairman's fault? Net spend is a bit of a myth in my opinion.

Need top see this stadium happening, on that score it's all rosy.

Two ways of looking at this really

1) Someone made a massive gaff here and the window was very poorly executed, we had a blistering start and almost thought it was job done.

2) We weren't prepared to sign low quality for a high fee.

Either way i said it at the time selling Lukaku was the height of idiocy. Big question marks over this administration for me in certain areas, i was expecting a higher net spend if im honest and really 40 mill in the current climate is not a lot, i would balance that in that we have increased our wage bill significantly to my reckoning to close to 140 mill annually.

Selling Lukaku was the worst decision by an Everton administration in a long time.

The you go, if in doubt go for the insult.I was a fairly simple question...which you seem unable to answer
Clearly the earlier post was too complicated for you. I assume you are comfortable with the fact that our director of football and his team of well paid scouts and negotiators have been unable to identify a viable striker in the 6 months they have had available to them. I'm not. For you though, the more important point is that someone who has no influence over the recruitment policy of the club hasn't given you a name for you to dismiss. I stand by my evaluation of you.

Well it seems your happy to fume about our scouts and negotiators being unable to sign a player who doesn't exist, and I ask again.Who would you have seen as a viable replacement who would come to a team without the offer of CL (not really expecting a sensible answer),or is it easier for you to just insult. Then there is always the standard fall back position "they are paid fortunes and I'm not" Seems to have slipped your mind we were turned down by Gabbiadi 5 goals and Perez 7.Not so easy away from FiFA 17 is it?

The Pogba Lukaku bromance was really the writing on the wall.We just have to accept we missed the billionaires who'll throw anything at players to sign bus.

I think its a funny window mate, when you see Arsenal, Norway Leicester holding tough on their star players it shows we were very weak kneed when it came to Lukaku in my opinion.

Given Lukaku's continuous bleating " I want away to a CL" at every opportunity, maybe someone at the club knew a little more than we did
