Obama or McCain?

Depends on your view. Personally, if I was American, I would rather have the more experienced, even if you could argue there is such a thing as too much experience, than a man with too little, whos own vice president even admitted so prior becoming his VP.

True I suppose but I think a younger man might just swing the nation. You never know though till the votes have been cast. One way or the other it doesnt really interest me I was only giving my opinion as an outsider. Obama might get more of the younger generation voting and theyre the ones that cant normally be arsed. Just wonder why it takes so long to do. All this acting is enough to put me off but I suppose it gives the voters plenty of time to suss them both out before the polls. Be glad when its over. It will effect us as much as our cousins over the water. As they say if America sneezes we get a cold.

Democrat James Carville summed the youth vote up best when he said:

"You know what we call candidates who rely on the youth vote? Losing candidates."

I couldn't tell you.

The way the last several elections have gone, and the way our country is divided right now, I'd say there's a good chance that we won't know tomorrow morning or that someone will get the courts involved again.

Sad but that's where we are right now as a country.

Yes sir.

I'm hoping that we will know tomorrow.

I'd just as soon see a landslide for either candidate so that we don't have some of the issues we had back in 2000.

Is it just me or has anyone noticed that from the news, any interviews regarding the election with Black people in America always randomly mention the fact that Obama is Black?

Literally ALWAYS. Even when they do mention policies they always start with "And not just because he's Black...' almost feeling the need to justify themselves. I just hope the race issue doesn't cloud judgement.

On Radio 1 news this morning when they reported about his Gran dying she wasn't just any ordinary Gran. Oh no, she was his white Gran!

Obama should win, which I'm glad about. Other than being the more intelligent and able politician, I think his vision for America is far more inclusive than McCain's. I dismiss the "inexperienced" tag as being relevant in Obama's case as well. Looking at the man's history, and his rise in public life, it is clear to me that this is a man who can take on any challenge. Although I readily admit that Obama is chiefly a politician, rather than a moral crusader, I do think he'll make a difference to the lives of the poorest.

Perhaps he could start by addressing the scandal of why nearly 50 million Americans do not have health insurance.

In saying that, I have some time for McCain, I just don't get excited by his politics. But he seems a fair man nonetheless.

Come on Obama! (y)
