If I'm honest - the only US car designs that have ever sat easy on my eyes are the Mustang, Dodge Charger, Ford Mercury Cougar and the Stingray they gave to the astronauts. Having said that the Tesla Model 3 is just about the only modern mass production car from anybody that I like the look of in the last 30 years so they haven't done too badly.

One of my neighbours has a softtop continental. Effortlessly cool, but kills the planet as fast as anything on the road.
Yeah, looks like they have sneaked into the design department of rival manufacturers and cobbled something together. Not ugly, just funny looking.
The original (ugly) dart was intended for the US market, with its fins. Turns out the yanks didn't like it either - plus they'd never heard if Daimler and there were no dealers over there.
Depends on how you look at it. The majority of a cars emissions are produced during extraction of raw materials and manufacture of the vehicle. It is actually environmentally beneficial to keep an old car going.
At some angles from the front it looks a bit MGBish and from the rear a bit Alpine-ish
Most of my cars have had SUs - and I love them. Far less trouble than other carbs I've had.
