A game as a 12 year old stood on the Kop watching the Anfield road end full of Blues chant Champions all through the 2nd half at the pit and 5,000 blues fans in the Kop - will be in my memories forever we played them off the park that day -

Never a stadium or training ground on the side or at the park end to my knowledge - in the old days there was a small gymnasium where the plays trained, pictures of Hickson and co have been posted on this thread with them training there and headed the ball about in bad weather that was under the old Gladwys street area stand... Bellefield was just off Queens Drive - Shankly used to walk his dog on the grass - Joe Royle asked him one day was he spying on the blues - no way he stated - nice to let my dog have a dump here thoughlolGoodison park when I was a kid had a small "stadium" on the Bullens road side in the complex complete with smaller floodlights than our old pylons on the main ground. By the time I was old enough to go to the match it had gone.........I asked my dad at the time what it was for and he said they'd have training matches there, however I'm certain Bellefield was in use then, in fact I know it was. So with all the great nostalgia and pics and knowledge in this thread can anyone tell me what it was (or if I'm dreaming lol), and a long shot but any pics? Cheers lads.
