Yes it was the FA cup 3rd Round 1975 we drew 1 all at Goodison and the Replay was played at Old Trafford where we won 2 nil.

Bangu who were a Brazilian team were involved in the International Soccer League in the US. I'm assuming they played us in a friendly at Goodison as part of a tour that Everton then went on in the US were we played Bangu (again) Dynamo Bucharest, Dukla Prague and Besiktas plus a couple of American teams.

And John Connolly pictured was stretchered off with a broken leg. They tried to kick us of the park. Tension and mayhem around ground too as there were a lot of Mancs came to support them!

According to this, we finished top of our group in the International Soccer League and lost to Dukla Prague in the only two-legged tie.

It was just before the beginning of the ISL, we went to the US immediately after our last game of the 60-61 season v Arsenal on 29th April.

The game at Goodison ended 1-1 but my Granddad (whose notes I am looking at) did not record the scorers.
