Old Everton Pictures

Yep,like you mate I remember him every week in the programme being tipped as the next big thing, all I know is there were rumours at the time of players watches etc going walkabouts from the changing rooms,I think his nickname was Buddy Coyle, sad if that was the case as he appeared to have a great future,as I say it was only a rumour I recall from the time and the lad may just not have made it at the club, never heard of him at another club after EFC.
Best kid who never made it for whatever reason

I just love this whole thread.

Going back a few photos above, Dixie running out, with the manager's bench consisting of two seats, how fabulous, these days they have to find about 20 seats to cover the small army sat there.

Yes the picture information may be wrong as I remember when HK signed for the blues HC told him he would have to change his RED car - I doubt he went out and bought this though?
Nice one mate, hope you spotted the teasing! I remember that story about the red car too as a nipper. I loved the idea that players might have to conform in that way once they stepped into the Everton world...not just any old team. I also agreed when I was a kid with keeping all red out of your life if at all possible. A bit like method acting haha. Never let your guard down ! A bit awkward if you are Labour though or like tomatoes. Had to compromise over a Welsh shirt too since Madame Allezlesbleus is half Welsh.
