Old Everton Pictures

...absolutely, and a decent dig on him when he cut inside. I often describe some players as ‘complicated’ and Beagrie is a good example of that. As you say, Dario, if that ability was harnessed so that he was ‘uncomplicated’, he’d have been a much more effective footballer.

Johnny Morrissey, dip a shoulder, get half a yard and whip brilliant crosses in. Uncomplicated and so effective.
Moggsy so deceiving with his quick feet, and pinpoint crossing to my hero - - poles apart Beagrie twisting & turning not getting a direct cross in spot on eggs....

...so much easier for Royle and Young to time their runs in front of defenders because they knew when Morrissey would deliver. Terrific player, I know you think he was very underrated.

Yes John Robertson was hailed a great similar winger - Moggsy missed out imo 10 years service for £10,000 from the other lot what a bargain he really was :D Shank went mad at the time we know why now.......

This guy cost us a signing on fee £25 something like that......

....Dave Hickson asked me to play in a charity game in the mid-70s. I think he just wanted somebody young who could run around more than the old blokes. Got in the dressing room and as well as Dave, Derek Temple and Brian Harris were playing. It was a lovely experience for an Evertonian like me.

Bobby Park season 1914 was a goal machine for us helping us to the title, the season ended played when the war was going to an outrage - born in Scotland nr Glasgow- it was stated he could have become as good if not better than Dixie Dean - after 1914 he was called up to the first World war came back to play football for the blues with a bullet in his back he returned but was never the same player at the time the Everton board did not relate the news to the fans he was wounded in this way but he was compensated in a good severance pay at the end of his playing days by our club - born 1891- died 1950 photos are rare of this striker -

went hungry and were always pointed to the 'straight & narrow'. I think my luck is now running out what with this China Virus and our government
lying at every opportunity(They are a disgrace).
