Terry Darracott, right, played right back in this game for Everton and was part of the reason City made little impact down that flank, with neither Summerbee nor Marsh having any luck against him. The inexperienced Denis Leman, making up the attack with Lee and Marsh, was eventually replaced by Denis Law, but to little avail. Darracott would play a total of 148 games for the Toffees between 1967 and 1979, before heading to the States to wind down his playing career with Tulsa Roughnecks. He later resurfaced at Everton and at Maine Road under Howard Kendall as part of the large contingent of ex-Evertonians in the playing and coaching staff around that time.
