A couple of quickfire goals in the space of as many minutes silenced the majority of the 59,199 crowd as Tommy Eglington would put Everton in front on 32 minutes before John Willie Parker doubled their advantage on 34 minutes. -

I found that pic on the net, and copy and pasted the comments above the picture

It was the away game v Chelsea in 1954 the year we were promoted - they won the title we came 2 Nd!

Joey, the picture is from the game you mention, but according to the article the first ever Everton goal to be televised 'live' was by Eglington in a 1-1 draw away in the FA cup 5th round at Fulham in 1948
