Can't remember the exact reason for that although I seem to recall it being forced on them because of a colour clash. Shanks then saying it added two inches height to his players so they kept it.
....my son has his own house these days but this still hangs on his old bedroom wall.

always liked this team photo. Have it framed. And has pride of place in my man cave(spare bedroom). With the rest of my Everton memorabilia. Also got a miniature printed. Keep that in my wallet.
Anyhow........just a question......the lad next to Howard kendall. I know his name. is it Mildrew (or something like that) But did he ever get a game for Everton........what became of him.
