always wondered how many goals Lawton would have scored for us if he'd been lucky enough to have been say ten years with Everton. His percentages in his ever so short two years were out of this world. I MO he'd have been a clear second to Dixie Dean in our goalscoring records.... A clear second by a country mile.......Dixie & Tommy Lawton who he knew was his replacement yet always gave him advice & they both respected one & Other never played upfront much together though -
