Old Everton Pictures

1901 we played there and won the Cup this was in the background - a magnificent structure supposed to last forever........
By the early years of the 20th century the venue was established as the home of the FA Cup. In 1905-06 Everton won their first major honour by beating Newcastle United by a goal to nil. The Toffees were defeated the following year, going down 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday, while Wolves completed the double in 1907-08 by inflicting Newcastle United's third FA Cup Final defeat in four years. Crystal Palace Park did not seem to favour the Magpies.

Great research Joey, I had the third photo down myself on my old computer but archived and hadn't synced it - I know easily available if I did a Google search but great to have it together with the information on the famous Crystal Palace itself. As you said it was inadvertently destroyed by fire I think in the 1930s but not checked recently so may be out - before the war anyhow.

He never dropped the Ciggie did he:p -
TBH it was the biggest event in our history a massive outlay by Albert & Victoria-
Designed by Joseph Paxton, the Great Exhibition building was 1,851 feet (564 m) long, with an interior height of 128 feet (39 m).[1] It was three times the size of St Paul's Cathedral.[

TBH I used to be an avid collector in fact almost a dealer with my good lady & on a car boot house clearance massive removal van I came across this old book - all in photographs like as big as an encyclopedia..... I just looked at the index - noticed a chapter on the very building .... being a dealer you learn not to be keen so you don't show the seller too much interest.... I haggled him down from a fiver to £2.00 ... licking my lips with original photos got home .....and the whole section on the Crystal Palace had been removed
Still a nice book on other subjects though ....doh.....
I collected anything Everton related too......
