Looks like Bally popped up an easy catch, which Charlton B and Wilson(?) both missed...much to disgust of wicket keeper
The last goal he ever scored for us...he'd had 3 or 4 not quite 'sitters', but chances that just missed before that went in, it could easily have been 10 or more.
That was the real end of Cattericks Everton, we peaked on that day and beat a decent team, we were unstoppable.
And it was slowly down hill from then
....looks like Jack Charlton with his back to the camera, Terry Paine & Bobby Moore behind the wicket.
If Southampton was the end - This was the start.
They went a goal up against our slow starters, but nobody minded, we laughed at the whole Everton That-ness of it...yes, it was a 'thing' even back then.
But, iirc, we quickly went up the gears...without really getting into 4th...and ran out easy winners 4-1
