I see Lyons, Bernard, Kenyon, Clements and Dai Davies. All played in the defeat in Nov 76. Looks like Lorimer & Clarke for Leeds. What game was this? a cup tie?

I remember that game so very well,I was nine and a 0-0 draw away to the still "mighty"Leeds United late on in the season was seen as an excellent result,I'd been glued all afternoon to the updates on local radio and when the final score came through I skipped out of the house for a game of street togger convinced the title was ours!!!Oh well, not the first and last time the Toffs would dissapoint me lol lol lol74-75 0-0 draw when we looked to be marching towards the title. Both teams cancelled each other out so it was not a bad point. But it showed Bingham’s caution and that he was trying to grind out results instead of going for it. Lost just after away to Boro, drew home v Ipswich and then lost to Carlisle 3 ‘kin nil. Sigh!!!! Burnley on a Friday night around then too mate, one nil up, then a late headed equaliser from Peter bloody Noble I know we drew too many games that season like you say Binghams cautious approach, however we only would have required two draws home and away with Carlisle,a draw at also relegated Luton and another draw at home to Sheff U(two nil up remember, lost 3-2,last home game!!)to have lifted the crown, how very totally "Everton that"?lolBoth teams cancelled each other out so it was not a bad point. Absolutely threw it away. We weren’t great and it was a dog eat dog season but we had done everything we needed to .... except avoid throwing points away from winning positions against crap teams!!!Burnley on a Friday night around then too mate, one nil up, then a late headed equaliser from Peter bloody Noble I know we drew too many games that season like you say Binghams cautious approach, however we only would have required two draws home and away with Carlisle,a draw at also relegated Luton and another draw at home to Sheff U(two nil up remember, lost 3-2,last home game!!)to have lifted the crown, how very totally "Everton that"?lol
