Would the people in them have owned them though ? doubt it back then, council woulda just turfed 'em out for the expansion of a business, probably no kopites on the council back then.

I grew up off Cherry Lane (L4) in a house that'd been bought by the club, to relocate someone who lived in one of those houses that are now demolished. They said to the owner-occupiers "go and find a house at similar value and we'll buy you it on the proviso that you move out and sell to us".

Not sure of the year that happened but she died, elderly, in the late '70's.

That guy was ejected from the ground in 1966. Later on in life he was murdered outside a pub so the late Eddie Cavanagh told me
