Did you ever come across a lad at United Craig Lawton ? I saw him play non league as he had a double leg break & no club could insure him he was brilliant, was in the team in Bold above ?

…I didn’t Joey, that group were quite a bit younger than me. I have a match programme from a game I played at Old Trafford, certainly a European Cup winner on the same side as me, I must dig it out & see who was in the opposition.

….I do, Joey, probably played with or against plenty of that group.

David Esser was an England Schoolboy international from Stockport who I played against a number of times (he couldn’t stop me scoring a few at Edgeley Park, Stockport County). i played a bit of representative football alongside Michael O’Halloran, he was a terrific player.

Eric Harrison & Ray Minshull renowned youth coaches, Harrison went on to fame at United bringing through that great youth team that included Beckham, Giggs, Scholes & Neville’s.
