Lovely one that @Joey66. Great to see your goalkeeper command his six yard box and make a decisive clearance.
Perhaps Gordon West spoiled us a little bit with his heroics.

Thought so and we have over the years seen the result. Never got the recognition he deserved in terms of getting an England shirt.

.....wonder if that's the game where McKay 'tackled' Jimmy Husband. I can still see that tackle now, Husband was never the same after that.

....yep, just looked him up and he played 3 games for us that season. Probably a good quiz question in there about blokes who played for Everton and then went on to win the league as a manager.

I was gonna say European Cup but he of course resigned around about the 1/4 final & it was tony barton.
he led 3 diff clubs to League Cup finals in 3 consec years though
