Gabby & the Catt 1966 St George's hall homecoming -- we signed Gabby I think from Dundee for £35,000 as he was supposed to be the next Dave Mackay - he was miles better than that dirty sod could play Centre forward too - hard but fair -
Till he got targeted -Dave Mackay etc - poor Skippy Husband he was so fast...no protection in his era -
The 1953/54 team below got us back into the big time a few seasons after relegation to the old 2nd Division back to where we belonged in the old Division 1 - what was sweet as we came up the other lot over the park were swapping places with us

1997 - EFC manager Howard Kendall signed Carl Tiler & Mitch Ward from Sheff Utd, with Graham Stuart & £500,000 going in the opposite direction. In hindsight, this was a very poor transaction. Tiler would last just 10 months at EFC, whilst Ward made 23 apps in 3yrs at EFC.
