1986 - Everton 4-3 QPR. A crazy game saw Graeme Sharp score twice (1 a penalty), plus goals from Gary Lineker & Paul Wilkinson help EFC win a 7 goal thriller. Sadly, no footage exists of this game, as it was played one week before the BBC/ITV/EFL tv dispute was settled.
1983 - Everton 2-1 Newport County. The Blues progressed to the FA Cup 4th Round with victory over a stubborn Newport County at Goodison in a FA Cup 3rd Round replay. Graeme Sharp & Andy King scored for EFC.
1970 - Everton 3-0 Ipswich Town. Harry Catterick's Blues’ title challenge continued at pace with a home win over Ipswich Town. Two goals from 20 year old striker Joe Royle & 1 goal from Howard Kendall led EFC to victory.
1965 - Everton 2-2 Sheff Wed. A draw at home in the FA Cup 3rd Round vs Sheff Wed, with EFCs goals coming from Fred Pickering & an own goal from Andy Burgin. EFC would famously play Sheff Wed the following season in the FA Cup Final.
2000 - Everton 2-0 Birmingham City. With the FA Cup 3rd Round being played in December 1999 this season, this was a FA Cup 4th Round win for EFC. David Unsworth scored 2 penalties as the Blues advanced to the next round.
1984 - Stoke City 0-2 Everton. One of the key EFC matches at the start of 1984 saw the Blues defeat Stoke at the Victoria Ground in the FA Cup 3rd Round. Howard Kendall famously opened the EFC dressing room window & said ‘win it for the fans’. Gray & Irvine scored for EFC.
