Captain bobby with new manager John Carey - we had signed Bobby as a youth player - signing him only by a letter to his family & not registration forms required so we lost him - an Everton That moment - He was allowed to go home to Scotland as the mighty Celtic wanted him only if the blues agreed to SFA rules... We did - Everton that - a top box to box midfielder - who had many Scottish caps playing in a world cup - we did eventually sign him much later & he was an instant hit with our fans -
