Actually it was 2-2. We led twice but G Graham equalised late on. Yep our league form was a cause of dismay after the excellence of the season before and then came that fateful week in spring 1971, panathanaikps knocked us out of European cup and we lost to RS at Old Trafford in FA cup semi. We never recovered from those results really and then December 1971 Ball was sold. A very speedy break up of a brilliant team.

It seemed like a defeat - 2-0 up cruising fell away in the 2nd half in a disastrous season!
