I saw Bonnie and Clyde there just before it closed.….the Majestic on London Rd opened in 1937. I remember going to see ‘Summer Holiday’ there in 1963, my Mum was a cleaner in the place for a bit. Sadly the building is no longer there;

I saw Bonnie and Clyde there just before it closed.
I could (just, if I didn’t pay attention) see it from my maths class window.
The Young Ones, My Fair Lady, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Summer Holiday seemed, on their own, to take up the 1st half of the 60s
Collegiate.….trying to work out what school that might be. SFX and Rathbone not too far away but both infant/junior & it sounds like it was your Secondary school. Paddington Comp or Collegiate perhaps.
Collegiate.
It was a different world back then. Islington and the houses between there and London Rd were a thriving community not an urban wasteland/motorway.
Edit; google tells me The Majestic closed on 27th June 1970
Wool lolNew Brighton. My old house is just out of shot up the road opposite the right side of the bowling greens.
