Watched the 1963 cold winter documentary the steam trains kept the country going for 3 months as snow drifts & tremendous ice put the Diesel trains out of use as the fuel froze ..... the steam trains saved us .......

…..the same ones who got paid loads of money to turn the Cavern into a tarmac car park.

Saying that, some of the touches on the BMD stadium build are classy. It’s not just the Hydraulic Tower, it’s little things like the paving around the old dock railway lines rather than burying them. I know it annoyed Dave, but the Dock Wall is a magnificent structure and I’m pleased it’s being retained along with the gate towers.
