….Lime St, 1964. The Royal Hotel was a family run business demolished in ‘60s;





…..above 1963, the National Milk Bar was founded by Welsh farmers Willie and Florence Griffiths in 1933. The British equivalent of American Diners, it was a popular meeting place for youngsters who made use of the jukebox.

…1950s, the Futurist Cinema, Lime St. Opened in 1912, there was much controversy when it was demolished in 2016;

….founded in 1834, Barker and Dobson factory famous for its Everton mints;

…the ABC Lime St, opened 1931 and still there although not a functioning cinema. My sister worked there for a bit and we often used her free pass;

…the Palais de Luxe cinema, Lime St. It was badly damaged during WW2 blitz and finally closed its doors in 1959;

…1960, St George’s Place by night. Demolished for the monstrosity facade of St John’s centre;
