Whatever happened to Toffee de Luxe?….The Everyman started life as Hope Hall Chapel in 1836 for a group known as the Christian Society. In 1841 it became St John the Evangelist Church but by 1853 it had converted to a public hall. In 1912 it became Hope Hall Cinema before becoming The Everyman on 28th Sept 1964;

Apparently there's a load of tunnels there as well, but might be legend and lies.….there was, I must say I thought that’s where they might be going when I first saw the pic.. As a civil servant, I was actually based on that site for a bit in the 90s, all gone now I think.
