Great pic that eggs, even though the Liver buildings are not my favourite building its looking splendid in that picture, with that sky behind it looking very atmospheric.
I take it that is the Music teacher holding the trophies and looking quietly happy. I wonder if any of the students in the orchestra went on to play professionally.….a few ex-Anfield Comp pupils on here;

Ronnie?….i never thought of Anfield Comp as a music school so no idea on that score. I did play representative footy with a lad from that school, we both signed for RS and he did get a professional contract.

Who was he? It couldn’t be Ronnie Moran your not that old Eggs nor Ronnie Whelan who came from Eire when he was 17 so he never played schoolboy football in Liverpool.….yep, he was a fine player. I dare say he created many a goal for me. No idea what happened to him after LFC.

Ah yes The Maj, spent many a night there and a few matinees, as well as The Kings further down London Road and The Hippy (Hippodrome) not far away along with quite a few more Picture Houses ( cinema’s ) in that area, happy days Eggs!
