London Road has gone into a steady decline, it's a place to avoid now.

It’s a horrible run down area. You don’t feel safe walking up there. Just kebab shops.

Looking at pictures like this, I get to wonder.

What happened to those kids, how many got out of Liverpool, to hopefully a better life?

….I also wonder what happened to them, but usually they look happy. I dare say the vast majority were loved so I never call them ‘underprivileged’. Despite living in poverty, they knew no different.
