It's a tad early for people to discuss this year's spending when they haven't kicked a ball.
They've won cups recently and have been in/around the top 4/6 (or at least thereabouts) consistently for about since their last title. Not really. They haven't had CL football in ages and have continued to spend enormous amounts of money.

We've spent the same amount of money and were 5 mins from being relegated.
I think their net spend is about treble ours in recent years, if not moreThey've won cups recently and have been in/around the top 4/6 (or at least thereabouts) consistently for about since their last title.

Nar last season was a doddle. The Coventry game was far more entertaining.?They've won cups recently and have been in/around the top 4/6 (or at least thereabouts) consistently for about since their last title.

Agree x100. Having a 2nd left back is far from a priority for our limited resources, and if its a midfield role we had in mind, surely there must be at least one better option in world football than a guy who plays there about 5 times a year in internationals only. Not remotely bothered about missing out on him

No doubt in my mind most of his minutes at Arsenal will be filling in for the injury-prone Tierney who you can barely get 3 games in a row out of. Understandable signing for legohead in that regard, even if they did pay about twice his real value a-la Ben White.
But ,But there Yanks they don't spend money on the team ,same as Man United and Chelsea we were told.I think their net spend is about treble ours in recent years, if not more
Wait, so we are free spending disasters in danger of FFP, and yet there are only like 4 clubs who have spent less than us in the past 5 years?Premier League - Transfer balance and five-year comparison
In dieser Statistik werden die Transferbilanzen der letzten fünf bzw. zehn Jahre der Vereine der Premier League miteinander verglichen.www.transfermarkt.co.uk
Yeah, looking at that list the two highest spending teams by far have american owners, and 4 of the 6 highest are majority owned by americans. But ,But there Yanks they don't spend money on the team ,same as Man United and Chelsea we were told.
