Girouds the better player but we would have to replace him in 2 or so seasons time realistically based on his age.

Benteke is only 26 and could be our centre forward for the next 5-6 seasons. Both capable of scoring 15 goals a season and both would suit Koemans style of play.

I just believe we have a much better chance of getting Benteke and would be throwing £40 million at Palace now to get him in.

No way they'd sell him for £40M with prices the way they are - you'd be talking £50-£60M before they'd even entertain the idea. If Benteke was all that, he wouldn't have ended up at Palace. He's a journeyman.

Giroud can play probably for 5 more years with his style of play on this level of play. And well who cares about 2 years time. We need a top striker now, we can aim to buy his successor later. He is just 30 and is better than Benteke.

Benteke has only done what Siggurdsson has - moved to a top 6 club, failed and went back to s botoom half club.

I don't think Palace would demand massive money tbh, Siggurdsson single handely kept Swansea up and was lauded whereas Benteke has escaped alot of the medias eye. £40 million or so would do it imo but doubt we'll go for him.
