I wouldn't be against signing him personally, I think he's a useful player. Would get us 10-15 goals a season without a doubt. Him, Sandro and another striker would give us great diversity up front over the course of the season.

Pretty much first choice France international, not necessarily as good a finisher as Rom (probably debatable), but much better first touch and able to bring other players into the game. Half think with Rom some of the reason he was the only one getting the goals is down to 2 things - either an attack inevitably breaks down at him because he couldn't trap a bag of cement or he scores...
If you think a player like Giroud isn't good enough for us right now then you're mad. We aren't going to be signing the best "champions league" players because we simply aren't attractive enough. No one likes the word but we're still selling ourselves as a project right now.
I for one am just glad we're finally looking like we're heading in the right direction
I would sign giroud in a heartbeat, good player, but if some think rom scores goals because he can't control a ball, then frankly thats just weird
If this is a Giroud thread ...I would guess yes.
If your saying as a second choice then maybe yes. His age isn't the best though
In terms of replacing Rom. No way. The 90m we get or there abouts for Lukaku can't be wasted. I'd invest it all in one player for the right player. Personally I'd like Icardi here and I've seen figures of 40/45m for him. Well within our range
your anti-rom obsession has reached fever pitch now you have a bit of support given his transfer situation, you were very very quiet on the matter when he was banging them in mid season, this argument is absolute bilge, and deep down you know it, but you've pitched your tent and will saty the course, and in a way I admire thatThat's not what he's saying - he's saying Rom is our primary source of goals because he doesn't involve the team in the attacking phase.
So either he scores, or nobody does, because he has no interest and/or ability in getting supporting players involved.

On 7 October, Icardi signed a new contract extension with Inter until June 2021, with a buy-out clause of €110 million.

'only one getting the goals is down to 2 things - either an attack inevitably breaks down at him because he couldn't trap a bag of cement or he scores...'Ok, maybe I didn't word that well. When he does get control of the ball, which is so inconsistent, he is fantastic. But his touch is just that - inconsistent. So many of our attacks break down at him. i clearly didn't suggest "Rom scores goals because he can't control a ball"
