Why only 11 starts tho? Goals per minute he's on 100, while Roms on 130, playing 2073 more minutes.
Could he have kept up that rate?

I think he would suit our system quite well myself, but we would need other options to compliment him.

I do see the need for more options up top. Its usual to have at least 2-3 strikers in the squad with different strengths. Giroud, sure, he's an all round striker, great in the air, powerful and good on the ground. He's done very solidly at Arsenal without pulling up any trees but for whatever reason hasnt made himself the main man. Wenger seems to prefer Welbeck and now Iwobi... but maybe thats because once you have Henry or Bergkamp whoever comes next will never be as good.
I just dont think this would ever happen in a million years. 3 reasons. 1. Fee. The'd want far more than we'd want to pay for a 30 year old with 2 years left on his deal. Soon to be 31. 2. Wage. He'd want more than the 80k he's on now as his last high profile deal. 3. He's French. He won't want to leave the capital. He's too cosmopolitan. Too pretty. He'd stay in london or go back to France. Italy maybe. Spain probably.

I wouldn't be happy if he was our primary attacking option for next season, however I do think he could do a job as part of a developing squad.

There's no way we should be paying £20m for a player who's 31 in a couple of months. He's not Distin who was an impressive athlete for his age. Giroud is already slow.
