Lol! Those managers are above this kind of scenario. Even Koeman didn't have the guts to deal with a relegation scrap. His prayers were answered when they sacked him.

Acually people might knock him but in our position I'd rather have big Sam than pep or Mourinho they wouldn't have a clue how to sort this lot out.

I would agree if I thought being at home was a particular advantage to us, but it's not. I've been at Goodison for every home game and seen absolutely nothing to inspire any confidence.

Anyway, I hope you're right and we scrape a win, but this is a serious low point for us.

I go to every home game to mate and I know it's pretty much dead every week but adversity sometimes brings out the best in our fans. If we see the lads at least really trying then I think we'll see a much more supportive atmosphere then there's been for a time at Goodison.

If you pay extra you can get next day delivery but the board would probably balls that up as well.

I don't really care if fans are panicking and worrying about it, I just don't want us picking a manager based on something which is unlikely to happen. I'd like the club to have some balls and professionalism in this moment and give us something to get behind again.

There's so much wrong with the squad.

• We don't have a right back (Kenny not ready, Martina is....Martina)

• We don't have one good centre back (Jagielka is 34, Williams 33, Keane not good enough, Holgate not ready).

• We don't have a left back (Baines at 33 is past it).

• We don't have any wingers (Lennon and Mirallas not good enough, Lookman and Vlasic not ready yet).

• We don't have a striker (DCL not ready).

The only thing we do have is a midfield; and that's because we've got NINE centre mids in the squad, then we don't know what to do with them all.

And finally...we don't have a manager!

We're a complete and utter shambles.

Emotional appointments never seem to turn out well! He might be one of us as you say but he's totally out of his depth against the quality of manager in the pl.

Need someone who knows their stuff.

Yes.
Two players of that calibre would change some dynamics, but we would still ship goals in and realistically we will not attract players of that quality.

Yes, that's what I meant. A short time ago, we were thinking we were above the likes of Allardyce and Dyche, but now I would take even Pulis if it meant we were guaranteed to stay up. Desperate times and there are no guarantees of anything!
