That was embarrassing. We were crap all over the park, and it's the senior players who are the worst offenders. They literally don't care, as someone would pick them up even if we got relegated- and they perform like it. Really, really, disappointed in Schneiderlin. First 11 with pace and width play week in and out from now on. They need to learn as a team then introduce the new players slowly.

If we see the lads at least really trying then I think we'll see a much more supportive atmosphere then there's been for a time at Goodison.

Agree with this, the problem is - there is no team spirit at the moment. Individuals try, but as soon as something goes wrong, their heads are down. Look at last weekend when Kenny scored the OG; no one supported him. Even when Martina was down tonight, no blue shirts around him (all Lyon players).

what worries me is how nonchalant certain players are.
schneiderlin , Sigurdsson, Holgate , Williams all for me looked as bothered as if someone had split a glass of milk after every goal and with the red card.

the longer this goes on the deeper the hole gets. the board should give the job to someone tomorrow to get some stability, they should give steve walsh his p45 , lastly schneiderlin Williams sigurdsson sandro and klassen should be dropped into the under 23s until they find some form.

If we play a midfielder 3 we need an advanced player who looks to link. Now I don't rate Klaasen, but he wouldn't be any worse than Gueye or Morgan no balls.

Totally agree mate. Was Davies on the bench tonight or injured? Whenever we play a midfield 3 he would be in for me.

It might not be a surprise given I'm an accountant, but I like my stats. Almost all of our "key passes" in recent years came from Gareth Barry. Almost all of our service to the front man came from Gareth Barry. Almost all of our service to wide players came from, you guessed it, Gareth Barry. His heat map and angles maps always showed almost all his distribution going FORWARDS. If you play 3 centre mids then you need a pivot, a destroyer, and a link man. Not 3 destroyers and subsequently 3 crabs. We haven't got players who are crap or have suddenly turned to manure. But what we do have is a complete lack of combinations and blend. You cant play Benningime in the Barry role and stand scratching your head wondering why we're not scoring and have no service. If we play 3 in the middle then one of them needs to be Barkley, or at this moment it should be Klassen. You need to help players. Unsworth is doing the opposite by stubbornly favouring young players and old players over Koeman players. He needs to pick a balanced midfield. We've not had the right combo once this season.

This team would struggle in the championship. Kenny, Holgate, DCL and even Davies are nowhere near finished articles and still learning there trade then others such as Jags, Williams, Rooney and Baines are all past it. Schnieds and Gana produce nothing and even struggle to protect the defence. We need Mori, Keane, Coleman back very soon and also Bolasie but the most important thing we need is at least 2 top class strikers in January to get us out this hole.

I don’t know why people are so perplexed, the issue is still the same as it was when Koeman was here. We don’t have a goal threat, teams realise this and they put us under pressure. The opposition are not worried if they lose the ball and we break, because at the moment it is a 100-1 shot that we will score
