Exactly. What the guy is basically saying is, "unless I get 50 million a year to spend, I can't compete". Lerner is a great owner who runs that club responsibly. MON has damaged his career with this move. Who in their right mind outside of the richest clubs in the world would hire the guy now? He's just gonna bitch and moan all the time about money.

Thing is though Johnny...

LERNER's come in and allowed their club debt to BALLOON!!!!!!!!!! And he's not all you'd think in the "investor stakes" he's taking money out of Villa.

LERNER-WRONG...

They've systematically forced themselves into this position. Thanks to Lerner-wrong!

And just think HE COULD HAVE BEEN HERE! *shudders*

Fantastic news this. It means one of our competitors has been seriously weakened. as like it or not he's a decent footy manager.

Hopefully villa will get someone utterly gash and that will be that.

Hope they don;t firesale all their good players though, as Ashley Young, Milner, Carew are decent players. I'd sooner see them struggle under new management than strengthen City or Liverpool.

Well he's trying to run it responsibly now, and MON can't function under a budget, that's obvious. He let MON do what he wanted and the guy didn't get it done. Then he tanks the Europa League game in Russia. What else is Lerner supposed to do?

I think Lerner got bored 2 months after buying the Club, he would sell tomorrow, but theres nobody buying Clubs at the moment, Bill is looking 24/7 you know,

Sensible, hence, "The right investment" which you, and a lot of others, widely mock.

How many takeovers/"investment" have went well?...

It appears the list seems to be decreasing which each passing week.

Cue Spurs and City totally ransacking their squad now and taking what they please.

Wouldn't mind the odd one or two here, shame we've got no money.

I can count 1 at the moment, Citys.

Its not "our" fault that all these Billionares are greedy SOBs, does it make me glad that we have got Kenwrong? Yes a little, there you go, I said it, still wont stop me wanting more, cant fault "us" for wanting more.

THIS.

Lerner's reputation has been severely damaged and judgement has to be questioned.

HE - let the debt jump 20%.

HE - let the wage:turnover ratio jump to 90%.

HIM. LERNER-WRONG.

What an absolute tit MON is. Of course we all knew it anyway, but sits on his hands all summer and then resigns 5 days before the start of the new season. Probably just wanted a summer's wages without having to do a tap before he quit.

Im fairly sure if you did the maths, these FACHTS would be the same under Kenwrongs time, its just taken Randy less time thats all.

Sidwell is in the final year of his contract. Good player him. Get in there Moyes..

The whole point was. Villa have peaked, they have no way of increasing wages further without relying on Lerner... and the 2013 Financial Fair Play (Club Licensing Regs) have hit that on the head.

Everton are in a much much better position to retain our players (if wanted).

The FACHT is...

people were talking about the "lack of ambition" last summer. HOW WRONG THEY WERE.

IT WAS MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE IMPORTANCE WE KEPT A GRIP ON WAGES IN THE SUMMER OF 2009.

For flexibility THIS SUMMER 2010.

Villa's debt jumped 20% last summer and their wage:turnover jumped to 89%.

Absolutely NO SCOPE to do anything without selling there in the summer of 2010. No net increases in turnover. Its just [Poor language removed]. Gambled on Champions League and majorly lost.

If Everton were in Villa's position I'd be SERIOUSLY PISSED OFF.

Instead we've got a squad that could perform even better. And has been strengthened by Maggie Gueye and Beckford... at BEST VALUE TO EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB.

THATS AMBITION. And not fcuking the club up completely year to year.

FACHT.
