O'Neill Resigns

The american connection would make sense, but with the millions involved, Bradley having no experience of club football in Europe let alone England and him being settled in California with kids at school - bit of an ask. Would like to see it, just to see how good a manager he really is.

Always impressed me for the US of A.

I don't know that Lerner has much of a connection to US Soccer, not moreso than any other chairman in the Premiership.

the only other one that would make any kind of sense.

The only one that would [Poor language removed] me up a bit as well. The other Moyes could beat with one arm tied round his back.

I said months ago Klinsmann was approached as O'Neill wanted out, Avram Grant was also wanted but he took the Hammers job.

Get your money on Klinsmann.

Klinsmann will be the next manager of the USMNT - sooner rather than later. Bradley will be looking for a European job and Klinsmann almost had the job the last time around. He's settled in LA and doesn't really want to move his family again, especially to f'ing Birmingham.

As far as i know he did not turn the job down, he's still interested. May only be on a part-time basis who knows.

Yeah, I don't see Klinsmann in England either at this point, especially Villa. He lives in LA and loves it, apparently.

You'd be proper gutted as a Villa fan a few days before kick off to the new season. Expectations have gone from 100 to 0 today. Its gonna be tough for them.

And all down to Milner? He's gonna be getting some right stick when he turns up at Villa park. Big. Time.

Anyway...Odds for O'Neil to be Citeh boss by January out yet?

How many takeovers have gone well?

I can count 1 at the moment, Citys.

Its not "our" fault that all these Billionares are greedy SOBs, does it make me glad that we have got Kenwrong? Yes a little, there you go, I said it, still wont stop me wanting more, cant fault "us" for wanting more.

Ooof. £500mill spent. 1 manager down. Another surely to go. Team who havent played together. Europa League....

They've got the most expensive flops ever to grace football to boot. And it looks like they've killed Aston Villa too this season.

Well yes, when I said its going well, what I mean is, its not likely they will run out of money.

1 day the Shieks will pull the plug tho, then it all goes belly up.

2 things will happen with City, they will get a good Manager in, 1 who doesnt spray money around and thinks thats the answer, actually buy some good players who will play as a team and not for a wage. Or the shieks will just write the whole thing off as bad idea and fck off to the NFL or something.

But atm its kinda working, they will still win fck all this Season tho.

Don't think that this will make them weaker, Milner leaving will, but they can bring a good manager like Martin Jol to take MON's place

It remains to be seen if they have anything approaching a business plan at City. The millions they spend are apparently predicated on a model that sees City become a global brand, with hotels, food outlets, energy drinks all with the City brand. If they can't establish this brand by winning they'll have a job on their hands. How they presume to make the money back on such an initial outlay is beyond me.

Can you imagine fast food outlets around the world with the Man City label?

I've got their motto already.

"Great going down and great at coming up again."
