Lyon have paid every single option to buy they've agreed to under Textor. Including on Mangala and Nuamah who they've tried to get rid of in the same window as triggering said options. If we agree to an option to buy and Textor takes over then its as good as done.

Did he join lyon as a player who had impressed at forest. Or did he join lyon because he was surplus to requirements at forest? Makes a huge difference

It's not as good as done at all. That's why it's called an option. If it were to be done, it would be an obligation.

Yeah honestly dont think we can with the amount of players we will need next season more than half the squad will be leaving already and 40 mill on one player just wont happen
 
This is the most baffling and potentially most worrying aspect of texter being involved.
Obligation for 40 million is lunacy.

Even if he does takeover and that’s a hell of an if IMO, it makes far more sense to sell him somewhere else.

Everton get the benifit of the player for a year, staying up = minimum 100 million to one of his companies. He gets a player back with a better profile through PL exposure - he gets 40 mill from elsewhere - as opposed to moving his own money around his own company.

Which would you do.

It also makes far more sense to not buy him from Forest in the first place given the Lyon manager didn't want him.
