2024/25 Orel Mangala

I'm kinda flabbergasted at the criticism he's been receiving, I think he's a solid player maybe not champion's league quality or whatever I think he's composed on the ball can actually link up and he can tackle, he's not the flash but I don't believe he's as sluggish as everyone states he is, but that's just my take everyone had their own interpretations
He should never have been dropped after the international break. He was one of our better players before it, but when they came back, just randomly benched. Has come back in and looked one of our better players again.

Im not convinced he has much speed. One moment stands out but I can’t remember which game, just remember how slow he was in a head to head. But that’s fine, if you get positioning right. Barry wasn’t exactly fast.

Mangana looks a good midfielder to me: good in possession, neat and tidy he rarely loses the ball and provides a solidity in midfield. For
example, he does a job that Onana could not. Mangana is not a box to box player and is not athletic but he's classy.

He would be one I would definitely try to snap on the cheap next summer. If either Garner or Tim kick on then that would be a fairly good two- man midfield. Throw in Ndiaye at no.10, a new manager, two top wingers and we're off to the races. Oe more thing, toss DCL and his skirt collection out in the New Year sales.

Think hes been our best midfielder by quite some distance when hes played.
it was against wolves but he was exceptional in that game, just a comprehensive performance, provided defensive solidity in the back was able to enable the transition to attack by providing the necessary passes and even scored. Sometimes I feel people have the need to over analyze and dissect every perceived attribute of a player than just make basic obversation which for me hes been good

Theres a player in there if a more progressive coach could be found.

With Dyche though we'll see the disruptor side of his game more which isn't a bad thing but we need composed passers of the ball as well as a bit of 'Dogs of War'.

Would like to see how he fairs with a more progressive partner, a Garner or Iroegbunam. See if he can hold the fort and allow us to move up the pitch or whether he needs Gana for cover.

That was in the Newcastle game. In a straight run over about forty yards it became apparent how slow he is, so I think our best bet - and his - is to sit him at the base of midfield and focus on his strengths. He should basically be a Flemish David Batty.

It seems you've got some kind of memory issue as I've said several times that i dont play computer games.

He will struggle in an open game. If we are matched evenly with an opponent, or like against Arsenal we're so compact that his lack of mobility doesn't really matter, he should start every time.
