I can't see it personally, as he's as guilty as sin imo & his story is the only flimsy excuse he could come up with given the circumstances. What I find particularly distasteful is the fact that his family (notably his father) are obviously embroiled in the story telling.......& the PR offensive was started by his 'people' i.e. the intruder story, before the poor girl was even cold......
 
A good defence team will build a number of mitigating circumstances which whilst not proving his innocence will at least question the premeditated aspect of the charge.

Life imprisonment with parole after 25 years....
 

Does seem very fishy. There are too many rumours flying around at the moment to get a good read of it though (neighbours hearing shouting, dodgy texts, surprise valentine etc.).

Apparently it could take a year to go to trial though. Seems a very long time...

I actually agree but remember the falcone case ? That girl was lying and EVERYONE knew it , except well she wasn't . I do agree the defence seems really unlikely and I know my general impression is the same as yours but trials aren't based on tweets from the court or rumours its on the evidence . Suppose we'll have to wait and see.

Depends on who you listen to mate , like I say it's difficult to judge evidence from 1000's of miles away
