That doesn't mean we should have signed a non goalscorer like McNeil instead

We've not idea what goes on behind the scenes or what opportunities pop up when they're doing these things. We were all in for Cornet then suddenly it's McNeil.

But what is clear that our deals are structured to the max over years which is difficult to get club's to say yes to

So today Forest are signing Dennis, Sow, Maupay, Freuler, Kouyate, Aouar and still got bids in for Malinovskiy + Gibbs-White.

It's nothing short of reckless tbh.

What would u suggest they do? They had 5 first team players on loan that didn't become permanent players and their 1st choice GK refused a new contract. So that is 6 players required just for a basic 1st 11. They then needed to upgrade other players and buy much needed cover for other positions. They are spending all their money they will earn this year to give themselves a chance to stay up. They still have 2 years of para payments if they go down and if necessary they can sell the players they buy this window at a massive discount and still be tens of millions up on where they were last season. What exactly is it that is reckless?

Almost like Eddie Jones handing out rugby caps to anyone vaguely English and over 18

It is fine as long as they have protected themselves with the contracts which they certainly have done with Lingard. Feels like the owner has taken a punt and they are spending all the TV money. Owner is not worth a huge amount in comparison to most other PL clubs
