Johnstone signed for Palace to in 4 year deal.
We have four keepers now (excluding the academy lads). Guaita is 36 with two years left on his contract, Butland (who has done ok) has a year left and Mathews who is a back up. The long term plan must be to have Johnstone and Butland (both 31) as first choice keepers after Guaita goes back to Spain. Can see Butland going out on loan to save some off the wage bill this season.

Potentially another 150m+ Window, Raphina (Possibility) + Jesus and Martinez / Tielemens.

In regards to FFP etc - We've knocked our wage budget from £200m+ down to £86m getting rid of players on huge contracts, owners are loaded and for some reason are happy to splash out nowadays.
Kroenke is a scumbag but a quite successful one lately. His NFL team the Rams won the Super Bowl in their new home stadium that cost $2billion and the NHL team he owns, Colorado Avalanche, are up 2-1 in a best of 7 series for the Stanley cup.

His NFL stadium is also one of the host locations for 2026 WC games.

Thought Butland off to Blues?, Johnstone been a decent keeper for us at The Baggies although he a "marmite" character with the fans as he likes to get in arguments with them on SM. His shot stopping excellent but his command around the box not so good as he rarely talks to his defenders and don't ask about his kicking out lol ? hope he does well for you

De Jong looks like he's digging his heels in, doesn't want to go to United, Barca really need the money and will have to force him out by the looks of it.

Not sure why United are repeating mistakes, signing a player reluctant to go there, it will be like Di Maria again.
It’ll be fine sa Frenkie and ten Hag are ideally suited to one another - whether the coach is given enough time or resources to flourish is unclear. At least LVG already weighed in on this earlier in year and I can’t disagree

Barça being ‘broke’ makes for great headlines but far from reality which is a trend in social media age of misinformation
