If that is true, expect an unseemly rush for his signature. If I were him I'd stay were I am for a bit longer, it's the first he's looked a top player since leaving Barca.
But £10m for one of the early season star players seems an absolute steal when you consider Saints are quoting £25m for Sadio Mane.

Pay no attention mate. Some people obviously didn't get what they wanted off Father Christmas.
 

Look like Benik Afobe is off to Bournemouth. Good solid signing for them. He's the only player in all 4 leagues to score more goals than kane last season. Hope he does well for them and keeps them in the league.
Bournemouth are in talks with the Wolves striker Benik Afobe. It is understood the 22-year-old could seal a move to the Cherries over the weekend, with the south coast side aiming to bolster their forward line.

Norwich hold a long-term interest in Afobe and had several bids rejected in the summer but Bournemouth now appear the frontrunners for his signature, although a fee is yet to be confirmed.

Newspapers have reported that Newcastle are set to launch a £10m bid for Jonjo Shelvey but Sky sources understand no offer has been made yet.

Shelvey, 23, has struggled to earn a place in the Swansea's first team this season under both previous boss Garry Monk and his temporary successor Alan Curtis.

He has started just three Premier League games since October and was not part of the squad for the recent matches against Liverpool, Leicester, Manchester City and Manchester United.


He'd be daft to move.

You're not wrong, the only team that could save Newcastle from the drop are Bournemouth and they've got far more fight in them than Newcastle,at the moment

Anyway thought Pardew was supposed to be showing an interest, be perfect for him(Shelvey) back home to South London.
