Yeah hes 22 now, really bad knee injury season before last probably hasnt helped his progress.
Yeah I seem to remember him picking up a bad injury, only seen him a couple of times and he looked decent, sure we were linked with him when Moyes was here, just doesnt seem to have progressed as much as expected but good luck to the lad, that looks like him and Ince leaving Derby

I hope you're right obviously but what makes you think that? I know he flopped at Chelsea but he hardly had many minutes and I don't recall much of it. Chelsea have form for getting rid of good youngsters.

The stats for him in Serie A flatter, and it's no longer the best of leagues to judge talent. I know he wasn't given the best chance at Chelsea. But for 40m them lot can do a lot better, but I'm not complaining.

Chelsea are ruthless, they dont give players a chance, he was given around 600minutes before they showed him the door.

They dont care, they just go out and sign another player or 3.

Yep. I'm a little gutted he is going there to be honest. Rated him since his time at Basel. And it's a bit unfair to judge him in his time at Chelsea as well imo. Where he was basically asked to play as a LWB in one of Mourinho's ultra-defensive formations. He'll basically be a Mane MkII for that lot.

I think we were actually linked with him as recently as the last January transfer window.

Annoyingly makes sense given how much they struggled without mane when he went to the afcon

Thing is, they'll be o.k next season as there is no afcon. But they'll lose them both to it the season after. Could cause them problems in the long run. I suppose they'll just go out and buy someone else though.

Tbh I forgot he was Egyptian and would go as well, the logical side of me thought they'd be bringing in someone for when he's unavailable, not have two players leaving haha typical rs

Crystal Palace are close to appointing Frank de Boer as manager.

The former Netherlands international, 47, has been offered the job and negotiations are at an advanced stage.

It is understood he was the first choice of Palace chairman Steve Parish and informed the south London side they were his preferred option.

De Boer is set to succeed Sam Allardyce, who left after helping Palace avoid relegation from the Premier League last season.

De Boer, who won 112 caps for the Netherlands, has been out of work since he was sacked by Inter Milan in November 2016 after only 85 days in charge.

Between 2010 and 2016 De Boer managed Ajax, winning the Eredivisie four years in a row between 2011 and 2015.

He stepped down days after missing out on a fifth league title to PSV Eindhoven on the final day of the 2015-16 campaign.

De Boer is thought to have impressed the Palace hierarchy with his knowledge of the club and his footballing vision.

It is said the respect and humbleness he showed was striking, especially given how much he achieved as a player.

The ex-Ajax, Barcelona and Rangers defender is understood to have committed to giving players from the existing squad a chance to impress before looking to make new signings.

Palace have invested heavily in recent transfer windows, but will back De Boer and have made him aware of their budget.

The thing I don't understand is Salah plays best in the exact same position they already have Mane. So one either has to move or come off the bench
