Just been speaking to a Catalan fella at work, big Barca fan, apparently Del was boss for them yesterday in their friendly against that Brazilian team that had the plane accident. Scored a goal and performed really well. He was gutted when they re-signed him as he thought he was no-where near the required level, and said he would just sit on the bench for a year before being sold on for a profit, but he just said if he can keep up those performances then he could see him getting regular game time

It was against awful opponents. This weekend against Madrid will be a bigger test.

However his link up play with Messi was very good. You can tell they are both on the same wavelength and look to gel well. If for better finishing he could have had another couple of assists.

Another interesting point. Probably because he's playing with Messi he doesn't overplay like he normally does. He was constantly looking to pass which has always been his strongest quality. I think he was scared of trying to dribble and losing the ball although he was also playing on the left as an inside forward not a winger which again is probably his strongest position - shame we never tried him there.

ESPN are running that a deal has been reached between Liverpool and Barca over Coutinho.

What happens here will demonstrate how serious they are about getting back to the top. If they hold onto him I will reluctantly tip my hat. If they sell him they are effectively advertising to the footballing world that they are also rans not much different to ourselves

Andre Gray close to Watford move. Lots of pundits/bookies have them as one of the faves for relegation. Think they'll do pretty good this year myself with a couple more signings.
