It's an impressive list that started the game, but don't look at in isolation.....

tosillo - £37m
Sule £18m
Renato Sanches £32m
Lucas henrnandez - £72m
Pavard - £31m

It's not as if they are shaking the poor box around. It does tell an interesting story of how cost doesn't ensure quality, as we no better than anyone
I think that’s the point that most people are making. They’re all quality players to be fair, but you don’t have to always spend huge amounts to acquire or succeed.

their potential first 11 looks strong though.

Kepa

Azpilicueta Silva Sarr Chilwell

Kante Kovacic

Ziyech Havertz Pulisic

Werner

That’s a title winning 11 if Lampard can get them to gel.
Sarr is meant to be going straight out on loan again to someone else. Weird agreement on his end but he's probably tripled his wages by going there and agreeing to the loan.

Agreed - but I wanted to highlight that it is not all sunshine and roses, they have also spent big big money, a good bit of it on Duds.

the other really important factor that that list doesnt include is the like of Goretzka, who to the best of my knowledge got a massive sign on fee as a reward for winding down contract

Wind it in. Maitland-Niles is a nothing player being brought in because he can play both RWB and LWB for them plus be not completely useless in a few other positions if need be. We 100% shouldn't be signing him and it is fine that we didn't.
Wind it in? I'm not saying we should sign him, I just think he is a good little player and is worth the 20mill if Wolves get him. Iwobi isn't worth the 35 mill in comparison and he never will be if we persist with playing him out wide, he's probably worth about 20 max himself.

Sorry if I misinterpreted. A lot of people like to come in here and complain about every single signing any other club makes and Maitland-Niles, who you're doing a great service to by saying he's a good little player, is not the person to get worked up about.

He can't be a nothing player if he can play both RWB,LWB and play in his preferred position of CM.
NES paying £20m for him and he's hardly bought any lemons lately, so you're either being a bit harsh or not watched him enough.
He had one bad game against Villa when He got sent off that's it.
He's being sold by the board going to cash in and because he wants to go,Arteta wants him to stay.

It's not really a 'great service' simply calling a player good, I rate him personally from what i've seen of him, Wolves have some of the best requirement in the League and I think it will be the perfect move for him.

He in fact can because you've just described Phil Neville at Everton and that is the most nothingness of nothing.

It's a good move for them because of the system and the lack of depth in their squad. The first doesn't apply to us and the second is only an issue once you have a real XI.
