Other Clubs Summer Transfer Window 2020

Messi staying with Barca for another season according to SSN.

Can see both sides of this argument with the season being extended due to covid. But these things rarely work out well for the club when a player so publically airs his grievances, and I really can't see him fitting in well in a Koeman set up.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if we saw him join City on a free in January.

Chelsea heading towards their most expensive transfer window to date in the age of ffp and covid. :coffee:

Scary thing is they could spend another 250 million without coming close to breaching FFP even without any outgoings.

They've been a selling club for years even before their transfer ban when they sold Hazard and Morata.

Reckon they'll sign Rice and a new keeper after Havertz

They have spent about £550m in the past 4 seasons on players, that is even before Havertz, so including him, they are heading to the £640m mark in just 4 seasons. Incoming fees from sales in that time is about £400m.

It’s funny how everyone is falling for this talk of them being a selling club only recently. A one window ban has done their image wonders, which is funny aslo, as they got their ban for breaking rules.

No idea how FFP works half the time, but I don’t think anyone really cares these days knowing it’s easy to get away with manipulating it.

And that's the rub. Chelsea are in hock to personal interest free loans from Abramovich to the tune of £1.5 billion (yes billion) but
sail through FFP without breaking sweat. It's just a complete nonsense.

In terms of class signings in one window I can’t think of a better one than what Chelsea have done. If the three foreign players adapt as they should, all four signings could be in a best PL XI. Very rare a team makes that many new signings that are instant first teamers.

The wolf of Barcelona

James Tarkowski is off to West Ham for £20m, apparently.

Sean Dyche on ssn earlier putting quite a positive spin on things. If hes away that’ll be a massive loss for them. £20m isn’t bad for a good CB although the Burnley team play a certain way and as we found out with Keane they aren’t maybe just as good when not playing a certain way.
