why would Ings even want to go there? He's already going to be behind Kane in the National team, why would he go to his club and be his backup? Also I would assume that Spurs wouldn't be able to afford the asking price that Southampton would want to get for him.

He would get plenty of games. Our schedule is ridiculous. Seems unlikely but money talks in football. Always has.

Yeah cant see it happening myself, can see him costing a pretty penny and people rarely spend big money on backups.

But reading that all is not well in the Saints camp, so never say never.

I don't know why but this get's to me too.

I've just looked at the records of him and James Rodriguez, since Thiago was transferred to Bayern in 2013. They are pretty much the same age, have both played a similar amount of club games and have similar injury records. James has double the number of goals and assists, but I suppose you would expect that from an attacking midfielder. And they both played at clubs of the highest standing, and indeed they both played at the same club for 2 years. Both had 12 months left on their contracts.

But whereas Everton, who were acquiring James on a free transfer, were taking a gamble on an injury prone player who was past his best, Liverpool are buying the best midfielder in the world for a bargain at £25m.

Now don't get me wrong, Thiago is a fantastic player, but best midfielder in the world? Obviously Spain don't think so as he's only been capped 22 times. :coffee:
You’ve got to be joking. We’ve had so much great press about James. Since spurs has been a media love in. Love it but let’s not pretend it’s not happen. If we can’t enjoy it when we ever
