Thats the hopeAll our eggs are in the stadium basket, we have to sell more everton to more and specifically wealthier spectators - that means corporate so that means corp entertainment facilities. I'd like to see season tickets pricing fall to ensure the place is sold out every week. Once BMD gets a reputation for atmosphere, and the pubs and bars move into the area the hope is the success follows. Iconic waterside development.
Surely BMD will be sold out every week from day 1 regardless of S/T price changeAll our eggs are in the stadium basket, we have to sell more everton to more and specifically wealthier spectators - that means corporate so that means corp entertainment facilities. Given the length of contract they are dishing out to players in years to come it will be the same teamIn years to come Boehlys Chelsea is going to be a case study in how not to do transfers
I know that, but Everton sells out every week now. It is an increase of about 13k people and there is about 20k on the waiting list for S/T. We will find out in a couple of years but I can't see anything but a sold out BMD from the start
52k aint no small increase, and there's acost ofliving crisis afoot.
the way i read the emboldened part was rather humorous. real stroppy like.I know that, but Everton sells out every week now. It does have to be at the right price point but the problem all football fans have is that the purchase of the S/T is often guided by the heart and not the head and clubs can get away with charging a little more than they probably should. If the price point is right, it will be. Everyone knows tickets will go up, and fair enough. But Everton have a very very blue collar following, and fewer tourist "fans" than many clubs.

It's not meant to be stroppy at all. It is just meant to mean what it says i.e. I understand there is pressure on people with money but I don't believe a price reduction will be required to fill BMD. I think Everton has easily enough support to fill a 52k stadium, particularly when it is a new purpose build stadium which I am sure will add significantly to the overall matchday experiencethe way i read the emboldened part was rather humorous. real stroppy like.
the way I read it. t'was a reflection upon me. I expect there'll be a lot of interest, PL survival being paramount. I wonder if there'll be a club shop on the doorstep of the city, I expect they'll move Dixie but to where, what boozers and eateries similarly on the doorstep, and how will they survive for the 13 days between games when the crap works is in erm, full flow? It's not meant to be stroppy at all.
