I would have thought they would get a DM in to replace Hojbjerg if he was leaving. Gallagher is much more attacking, that transfer doesn't make sense to me as a replacement. They may buy Gallager and sell Hojbjerg but if they do I expect they would sign a DM too

They are a bit overloaded with defensive midfielders especially for the system they will play under Postecoglou, I'd imagine it will be Bentancur playmaker at the base with two 8s pushing on. Maddison might be one of them. I don't know if they are keeping Lo Celso or Ndombele too.
Yeah, I suppose a lot depends on what Ange wants to do. I was thinking that Ndombele and LoCelso are on their way out but he may think differently. There is some nice creativity with Gallagher and Maddison

From reading into this Mbappé situation, I think this is going on, but correct me if I'm wrong;
Mbappé wants to go to Real Madrid, but they can't afford to buy him this season
Mbappé is out of contract next year, so he's happy to run his contract down and sign for Real Madrid at that time
PSG would sell to Madrid if Madrid were willing to meet the asking price
If Madrid won't meet the asking price then PSG will not be willing to sell to them, but they WILL be willing to sell to someone else if that team pays them what they want
Mbappé isn't down with a scenario like that, as he only wants to go to Real Madrid, but if he won't sign a contract extension then PSG are going to try and sell him to the highest bidder regardless of who it is
Mbappé could refuse to go if PSG are selling him to a club he doesn't want to go to, at which point he'd be running down the contract for the next year until he was free to sign for Madrid, and the PSG fans won't be very nice about something like that
So the scenarios are
- Mbappé signs an extension and goes to Real Madrid next season, with PSG netting a tidy wedge
- Mbappé refuses to sign an extension, so PSG sell him to whoever they can who will meet their demands. This might include Real Madrid if Madrid can afford to make the signing, otherwise it'll be a club Mbappé doesn't want to go to
- Mbappé refuses to sign an extension and blocks any transfer moves for this season, and then leaves on a free to Real Madrid once his contract runs down and PSG get nothing (leading to them needing to sell other players to cover costs)
Am I missing anything?

If he doesnt want to sign for Everton or Bristol Rovers, he doesnt have to. PSG can do absolutely nothing about it.

I agree with all of that except I think that if the Qatari dude is successful at buying Man Utd, his mate that owns PSG will sell Mbappe to Man Utd
