West Ham with £60m on a 30 yr old Maguire and near 29 yr old JWP. Moyes obviously building for the short term to save his job but poor that, esp as the wages will be big too. Isnt Maguure on about £200k a week?
He’ll prob get weighed out for the shortfall between what he’s due from Utd and what WHU are prepared to pay out. Might take a while to sort that conundrum.

Lewis Hall loan agreed. Chelsea to Palace for a season.
Good player but we’re not really short in that area.

Liike the look of him, wanted us to try for him.

Remember us disagreeing about him when he was available for peanuts.

Looks like hes just trying to get them back to mid table to me and have another european run.

Very short term.

I wouldn't say Kane is at the end of career, he is also quite intelligent in his play and not someone who is super reliant on pace and strength.
Also quite often he is main playmaker both for Tottenham and England and not just striker.

With Kane as a striker and Gnabry and Sane at the wings and Musiala behind them, Bayern attack sounds brilliant

I think id be pretty happy seeing Kane there another season then leaving for free.

They could do alot with the Bayern money.

He’s good but so is hamer. Hamer adds more goals and assists than berge also.

End of the day, berge isn’t signing a 40k a week contract with sheff utd so they are replacing him with hamer who has all the tools to be ready.

Hamer has the tools lol

That’s a good signing I wanted us to go for him

I remember you telling me that Kasper Dolberg would be the greatest talent of his generation.

Barkley to Luton
will be interesting to see what he is like there. When he was on loan at Villa he was excellent for the first half of the season, it was the time we beat the RS 7-2. But the 2nd half of that season he was the worst player in the team. It was shocking how his form, work rate and attitude changed so quickly. I suspect he will start of really well for Luton, they will love him and then after xmas they will hate him and want him off the payroll

Another club who don't spend money, must be only us who spend money and waste it. How all these clubs stay inside ffp, and wage sustainability amazes me, their commercial deals must be amazing. I do think their managers is decent though, well like us with Benitez, anyone is a vast improvement after Gerrard.
They've spent about £120M net the last two seasons - getting £100M for Grealish helps. The season before they more or less broke even. They've not spent close to their approximate TV deal money.

They also didn't base their financial plans on suspiciously high value sponsorship deals with Kremlin linked oligarchs while building a new stadium. There's very little there that's really that amazing.

Further to that the last published accounts had a profit of about 6m and the year before a loss of about 35m. I am not sure what the next published set of accounts will be but we have the scope to make a loss of about 70m and be compliant with P&S. Finishing 7th was 142m compared to 113m for finishing 17th. If Villa wins the qualifying game in the Conf Cup (Luzern or Hibs) it will mean group stage games which are estimated to be worth 20m to 25m between prize money, TV rights, increased commercial payments, and matchday revenues. Obviously, the spending needs to be managed but all published accounts suggest that FFP is not an issue for Villa.
